The Fortinet FG-90E is a next-generation FortiGate 90E firewall designed for secure small to mid-sized enterprise networks and branch offices. It delivers unified threat protection, advanced routing, and VPN services in a compact desktop form factor, ideal for distributed sites across Asia, Europe, Africa, and North America. With 16 GE RJ45 ports, it can act as both a secure gateway and an access firewall, reducing the need for separate switching hardware in smaller deployments. This makes it attractive for distributors and SMB integrators who need a reliable, easy-to-position security appliance with clear value for their customers.

For integrators, the FG-90E offers up to 4 Gbps firewall throughput and 1.2 million concurrent TCP sessions, allowing consolidation of multiple security functions without sacrificing performance. Threat protection throughput of 270 Mbps and NGFW throughput of 375 Mbps support modern application control and IPS policies for mixed office traffic, regional branches, and remote sites. SSL-VPN throughput of 95 Mbps and a recommended maximum of 200 concurrent tunnel-mode SSL users make it suitable for regional offices or headquarters with mixed remote access requirements. The FG-90E is also well suited for secure wireless and branch consolidation projects. It supports CAPWAP throughput up to 950 Mbps and can manage up to 32 FortiAPs (16 in tunnel mode), plus up to 8 switches, enabling end-to-end Fortinet secure networking. Up to 10 virtual domains allow multi-tenant configurations or environment separation for different business units or customers in managed services scenarios.
