Do I need to apply for the license again after router version upgrade?

After the version upgrade, determine whether to apply for the licenses again according to activated licenses of the source version and license support.

After the upgrade, run the display license command to check the activated licenses. The Product version field specifies the version number.

- In V200R001, the PBX function is licensed.

- In V200R002 and later versions, licensed functions include the voice service (SIP AG), data service, security service, CM&BEST, CT, and IVR.

After determining activated licenses, understand the license support. The licenses supported by the AR vary depending on the version.

Determine whether to apply for the licenses again according to activated licenses of the source version and license support.

- If the license has been activated in the source version and the functions required in the target version have been authorized by the activated license, you do not need to apply for a new license.

- If the license supported by the target version adds some functions and the functions are required, you must apply for the license. For example, when the AR is upgraded from V200R002C00SPC200 to V200R003C00, the license adds WLAN AC Express. To use this function, you need to apply for the license.
