MA5694S, Huawei SmartAX MA5694S Multi-service Access Module, Outdoor ONU

The SmartAX MA5694S Multi-service Access Module is an outdoor integrated optical network unit (ONU) developed by Huawei. The MA5694S supports PoE/PoE+ and can be flexibly deployed in various video surveillance and Wi-Fi coverage scenarios. The MA5694S receives small cell data using a GE port and transmits the data upstream to the OLT using a PON or GE port.

Simple Deployment

Integrated installation: The MA5694S can be integrated into a small cell. This implements one-time site visit and reduces deployment costs.

Free of optical power meter for site visiting: The MA5694S integrates the function of an optical power meter. Therefore, no optical power meter is required for site visits. This simplifies service and site deployment.

Plug and play and one-stop deployment: The MA5694S using PON upstream transmission supports offline deployment. It automatically obtains configuration data from the U2000 and the configuration data automatically takes effect on the MA5694S. In addition, the MA5694S automatically reports an online event to the U2000 when it goes online.

PoE/PoE+

The MA5694S AG03 and AC-powered MA5694S AG04 support PoE/PoE+ and supplies power for the camera, AP or small cell mounted to the same pole using an Ethernet electrical port. The power is transmitted over network cables, thereby preventing the issues introduced by traditional power cable routing. This saves installation space, reduces investment costs, and is environment friendly.

High Precision Clock and Time Synchronization

Can use multiple clock sources as the system clock input of the MA5694S. This effectively ensures high precision clock synchronization between the MA5694S and the communication

network.

Supports GPON-based 1588v2, and GE-based synchronous Ethernet and 1588v2.

High Efficiency Maintenance and Management

Supports remote upgrades in batches.

Supports accurate fault locating and remote troubleshooting.

Supports Y.1731, which enables the MA5694S to provide link performance data in real time,

facilitating rapid network performance diagnosis.

Supports remote fault demarcation between the MA5694S and the small cell housing it, facilitating rapid fault locating.

Supports the protection level of IP65.

Passes the electrostatic discharge (ESD) test.

Supports surge protection and anti-interference. GE electrical ports and the power module can

withstand 4 kV and 6 kV lightning strikes, respectively.
