HPE AW555A Vista general

AW555A es la unidad de disco duro MDL HP P2000 2TB 6G SAS 7.2K 3.5in para almacenamientos de la serie MSA. Los gabinetes de controlador HP MSA2/MSA2000 y los gabinetes de expansión de factor de forma grande aceptan módulos de unidad de disco HPE SAS únicos con firmware diferente y bandejas diferentes que otros arreglos de almacenamiento HPE y servidores Proliant. Las unidades de disco tienen intercaladores SAS conectados a la parte posterior que convierten la interfaz SAS nativa de doble puerto en un conector SCA-40. Si bien este conector SCA-40 tiene la misma forma que un conector Fibre Channel (FC), las unidades NO utilizan el protocolo FC. Si observa detenidamente el intercalador, el circuito es bastante simple y no se adjunta ningún chip puente / traductor. El intercalador está, más o menos, actuando como un filtro de señal y un reubicador de puertos para conectarse al backplane propietario del MSA2.
