RTN 380 est le micro-onde plein air à bande E de deuxième génération de Huawei fonctionnant de 71 GHz à 86 GHz et adoptant une conception de qualité opérateur. Des ressources spectrales abondantes signifient un processus d'octroi de licences plus court. Par rapport aux micro-ondes fonctionnant sur des bandes de fréquences traditionnelles, les faisceaux de micro-ondes en bande E sont étroits, ce qui minimise les interférences entre les sites, permet un déploiement de sites denses et facilite la réutilisation des ressources spectrales.

En tant que micro-ondes extérieur complet hautement intégré, le RTN 380 prend en charge une installation sans encombrement, ce qui réduit les coûts de déploiement du réseau. Il se connecte à l'équipement côté service via les ports GE.

Avec une capacité allant jusqu'à 4 Gbit/s, RTN 380 peut répondre aux besoins futurs en bande passante. Il peut fournir des liaisons à haute capacité pour les sites concentrateurs, compléter les réseaux optiques sur les MAN ou servir de remplacement dans les scénarios où le déploiement de réseaux optiques est difficile. Dans la solution de réseau d'accès radio basé sur le cloud (C-RAN) de Huawei, le RTN 380 peut acheminer le trafic CPRI des RRU vers le BBU.
