Construit avec le dispositif de commutation Mellanox Quantum InfiniBand, le QM8700 fournit jusqu'à quarante ports 200 Gb/s, avec une bande passante bidirectionnelle complète par port. Ces commutateurs autonomes sont un choix idéal pour la connectivité de feuille de haut de rack ou pour la construction de clusters de petite à très grande taille.

Le QM8700 est le commutateur réseau le plus intelligent au monde, conçu pour permettre l'informatique en réseau grâce à la technologie Co-Design Scalable Hierarchical Aggregation and Reduction Protocol (SHARP)™. L'architecture Co-Design permet l'utilisation de tous les dispositifs actifs du centre de données pour accélérer les infrastructures de communication à l'aide de matériel embarqué, ce qui se traduit par des améliorations des performances des applications d'un ordre de grandeur.
